"Football is measured not only by results on the field. Improving infrastructure, training players in academies, and providing transparent reports - all these are important points," Najaf said. "We need to try to attract fans to stadiums and develop children's football."
Until his election, Najaf served as the chairman of Azerbaijan Premier League club PFK Neftçi's Supervisory Board, and is also the president of the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
